Meet Brett and Elena
The Couple Behind Woodpecker Designs
Woodpecker Designs is the creative partnership of husband and wife, Brett and Elena.
Brett founded Woodpecker Designs in 1998 and spent more than 12 years handcrafting quality furniture, with his work proudly featured in furniture stores across Western Australia, including EasyLiving, Souths Furnishings, General Store, Lifestyle Furniture and Habitat Furnishings.
Elena moved to Australia in 2006 and Perth has been home ever since. She holds bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and bachelor of Creative Industries (Interior Design) from Edith Cowan University, combining analytical thinking with a passion for creativity. Over the years, she has worked as an Executive Officer, Provided private mathematics
tutoring and taught children's art and creativity classes. She loves bringing people together through creative experience and creating a welcoming space where everyone can relax, have fun and leave with something they’re proud of.
